E-Commerce for
Baan sales orders provides a customized Web
application tailored to your sales processing
requirements. Multiple Baan sales order types are
supported along with Baan's alternate delivery
address table, delivery address over ride, header
text, line text, freight options, future delivery
date, purchase order codes, etc. The complete sales
order process is fully automated from the browser
through Pick list or Generate outbound advice.
The E-Commerce Baan middleware sessions provide for
a wide range of business rule enforcement before a
order is processed in Baan. These business rules are
parameter configurable and maybe customized to your
requirements. A series of Baan Customer Support
Representative sessions are provided to manage any
orders that do not conform to your business rules.
Included with the E-Commerce sales order module is
order confirmation and Baan order status. Both Sales
orders and Replenishment orders maybe tracked with
the E-Commerce sales order feature. The sales order
status provides a summary of each order placed
including shipment status with links to shippers for
each order sequence and detail order line status for
each order sequence.
Sales order status also provides for customer
purchase history by item and date selectable by
user. The report data may be viewed in report or
chart form.
Now E-Commerce offers four ways to submit sales
orders to Baan with optional X12 EDI 850 Purchase
Order transaction interface to Baan, fax, email
sales order transmittals and the Baan integrated
sales order middleware modules. |

migrate to Baan 5 for Electronic Commerce and no
changes to E-Commerce when you do decide to migrate
to new Baan levels .
With Baan levels 3 and 4, no plug in software is
provided from Baan to integrate Web applications.
Even Baan Series doesn't provide E-Commerce
functionality.

Real-Time Baan order status.
Baan Real-Time order status is collected as your
sales delivery tables are updated through Baan
processing steps, order status is captured from Baan
order, release outbound, and invoice processing
steps.
E-Commerce for Baan provides Real-Time customer
specific pricing and product availability during the
sales order process. Your pricing tables in Baan are
queried for specific customer pricing.
E-Commerce for Baan sales orders fully automates
your customer fulfillment process. Your customer
places orders, tracks order progress and receives a
invoice all from the internet with out talking to a
Customer Support Representative.
The Baan sessions to process sales or replenishment
orders are fully automated and requires no
modifications to Baan. E-Commerce orders can be
filtered through an input order system session and
held for Customer Support Representative review.
Otherwise, if the order is OK, the order will be
automatically created and picked by Baan. A printed
Pick List or Generate Outbound Advice will be
printed in your warehouse. The automated Baan
sessions do not require any customizations provided
your Baan sales order sessions are not highly
modified.
